Well I'd argue all  the franchises get frequent installments. We had like 4/5 Halo games last gen in the space of 7 years. We had 4 uncharted games in the space of 5 years. We've had like 5 Zelda games in the last 3 years. Even if not actual sequels or games for home consoles, companies still try to capitalise on the franchises because they make them money and they feel there is a large demand. I mean Nintendo made it sound like WW HD and Hyrule Warriors only existed because the actual Zelda game wasn't going to be out til fall 2015.

None of those outcomes are likely, but none are impossible, either. I would have to say that I wouldn't consider any of those games a "bomb" if they sold ~500k less than the numbers above.

As much as I'd like it to be so, I don't see Zelda for Wii U selling much over 4m, if it makes it there. "Twilight Princess" only sold 7m during the Wii's most dominant period, "Skyward Sword" still hasn't passed 4m, and "Wind Waker HD" is sitting at 1.3m on the Wii U. Then again, "Wind Waker" managed 4.6m on the GCN...

I'm hoping for 5m, I'll settle for 3m; ~4m would be a happy medium. 

It's a new generation and every console has a new install base. Same rules don't apply. Halo 5 doing 5m+ would be pretty amazing, would be the first on Xbone.

Zelda will be 5 million+
Uc4 - 3 million
Halo 5 - 2.5 million, with the latter two being huge critical disappointments

Only one of these has a chance in hell of coming true and that's the Zelda one, which is still unlikely.

Hope they all do. Probably three of the most overrated gaming series' today IMO.

Naughty Dog really proved themselves last Gen, so i expect U4 to do well. Zelda is Zelda and it will do well. What worries me is Halo 5 since that is a 14 Year old FPS franchise that has WAY too many competitors in the stores for it to handle.

Halo 5 will have the biggest numbers obviously, even if it sucks it won't flop.

• Sony are not dependent on first party exclusives so they will carry on as usual even i Uncharted only sells 2-3 million.
• Nintendo will stop with fan-service if Zelda only sells 2 million: no Metroid, no more big LoZ, no more Bayonetta - more Mario, more Animal Crossing. More Pokémon, more gameplay less graphics.
• Microsoft will have a hard time coping with the shock of selling less than 4 million Halo. Transition into PC.
