Even if next HH sold 30mil-40mil, arent you forgetting the Software behind it? Anywayz 30mil+ is still good for a HH and not dead at all. Especially when the Software is actually pretty good without there being that many games.

It looks bad but thats only in comparison to Nintendo HHs + PSP. Consoles survived on 20mil-40mil before :)


God how things have changed.  30-40m would signal the end.  Bye bye investors and software sales would be even lower.  

The age of the HH is over.  It had a great run. 


I find this funny it reminds me of the beginning of this gen with HHs being doomed, and of course people thinking again its doomed next gen... :)

Software Sales will be even lower? Doesn't the 3DS have the best selling games this gen? When its all over the 3DS will probably remain to have 3-5 of the top 10 best selling exclusives. Yet i guess thats low SW right?

 

30mil-40mil wouldn't signal the end, that statement is really premature and a bit silly.

Console sales gen 4-7, 290 million

if you want to  compared " handled"  and "consoles" not just PS4 and 3DS u should include    casual gadget like smarth phones, tablet, and phablet. 


Might as well add in PC too?

You can but you have to count small part from mother board, PSU, CPU..............hmm duh, close platform my friend close platform.

You see that's the thing.  Handhelds are much cheaper and thus shouldn't be compared.  This comparison is happening for 2 reasons.  #1 this is a sales site #2 ps4 just beat a console it shouldn't even be compared to

But PC does have an affect on console sales, if u couldn't play games on PC then many of those people would buy consoles just like if smartphones didn't have games on them then handhelds would be doing better.

actually console has more influence to PC more then PC to console, unlike smart device (smart phone, tablet etc) which is the biggest concern on why Nintendo bring tablet to their controller and PS4 and Xbox one with their compatibility with tablet.
