Forums - Gaming - Rockstar should have charged for Heists!

Should have charged a small price?

YAY 5 9.43%

NAY 48 90.57%

Total:53

If EA, UBISOFT, ACTIVISION, SONY, MICROSOFT or a few others owned GTA and published it they'd be charging 15$.  I would pay that but I think 10$ is a fair price.

However Rockstar are giving it for free like they have with all the other updates so far. The problem is a shit load of people are now playing heists meaning the servers are slow.  If they charge 5$ or even 2$ just for the sake of it,  that would at least halve the number playing And the servers would be fine.  They could always make it free in 3 months for the rest.

Instead We all have heists,  are 5$ richer but have to wait 2 weeks for the servers to be working good again.

On a side note,  heists are awesome making one of the best games ever even better!

So YAY or NAY?  Poll above.

No they shouldn't. It was a promised feature for launch that got delayed.

Rockstar have enough money I'm sure.

Free shit is free... Don't complain... And GTA has sold over 30 million copies... Even if they charged for it, they would have server problems cause people would still buy it and people would be even more pissed cause they paid for it

Doesn't their parent (Take 2) frequently bleed money?

Over 45 million to be exact.

They made $2 billion from the game, I'm sure they can afford to offer it for free and get better servers

Well........ This reasoning is what's wrong with today's gaming ecosystem. It's free just enjoy, so what if we have to wait two weeks to play it well, Free is Free!!

Send a Friend Request On PSN :P

There will always be server problems, the main issue is that they never ever plan and never expect that many people to play the game for a feature that was promised ages ago, forward planning for online games seems to be an almost dead concept, charging for it would put people off and others indefinitely, imagine if after nearly a 2 year delay they charge PC users full price for a port of an old game and then have the gall to charge for online in the PC realm, R* would get dropped like a hat in that space easily.

Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.

Exactly! Heck, this is probably why they delayed the PC version too cause just imagine these types of server problems + the PC gamers trying to do it as well! It would be soo much worse since its already like this:
