So I recently started an adsense account, and this month I had estimated earnings of like a dollar. But when the finalized ones came in, it came to 31$. Why is it so much higher? I'm relatively new to adsense, but it really seems like they messed up on one of them. Granted youtube gets a 45% cut, but still. Can anyone explain, thanks!

??? 1000 views and 30 bucks? Thats should be around 8000 to 10000 views... Did you make a special video review or something so they paid you more? Cause usually per 1000 views its ~1.3 to 3.4 dollar

My estimated was roughly a buck (don't laugh, its just a hobby). But I do realise that I did have a very high RPM (4$). But that's it. My estimated was 1$, and it ended up at 30$. Maybe my loyal fanbase likes me more than I think? But its finalized, since Google is sending me a PIN (10$ in order to have it happen) so I think's that what I'm making. And no I didn't make any "special videos". Maybe my account just has high earnings, but I mean its extremely high!

Rpm of 4 bucks is pretty high.. Maybe your video has a connection to one specific product/advertiser and he was willing to pay more for their ads.. 

Maybe, but 30$ seems awfully high when your advertizing to barely 1000 people per month.

Maybe your channel earned some money before it was linked to adsense. How many views does your channel have?

Roughly 40k. 

But no in May 2013 I stopped earning money. I started in Feb 2012.
