As others have sarcastically surmised, this game will NOT sell well regardless of its meta-critic and cult following.
I can't fathom for the life of me why a publisher would allow the game designers to intentionally alienate a larger consumer base in favor of some twisted artistic vision that makes no sense.
Seems like no one noticed it but a user posted a link to the scans of the magazine.

Thanks for the answer. Unfortunatelly, even though this game looks great, people who played it love it, and it seems to have so much content, I must skip it, as I lack both patience and skill for it.

Ok so all games now need to cater towards the mainstream? What garbage.
It'll sell 1.5m+ that's well enough.
Everyone that's a fan of any niche title is glad you don't decide these things. If everygame was made to be "mainstream" they wouldn't sell any better due to oversaturation. Finding a niche, doing it well and getting a smaller yet dedicated fanbase is a good way to go.

I feel you. Getting really interested in it but now that I hear that it's even more difficult than the Souls games I have to pass. I want to be entertained by a game and not entertain the game.

I second this, I play video games for relaxation and fun. I don't play video games to become frusterated and stressed, that's what I have school/work/dating for.

There are plenty of niche titles that aren't punishingly brutal. Choice isn't mainstream. It's the creative content of the game that determines whether a game is mainstream. That and other factors like contrived multiplayer and microtransactions. Bloodborne is rife with self-conceit and elitism.
You know what, I'm not letting this one go. It's beyond absurd. The designers could easily "keep" their original vision by adding a difficulty option. How? Just call it something degrading like "ultra pussy mode." That's fine, I would own that since I was never good enough for some games like Ninja Gaiden. I concede to you guys' superior skillz.
There, problem solved. You retain the original intent which is to convey a sense of smugness and contempt for the gaming masses.
