If it sold 240k then the insider would have said 240k. By him saying >200k it means close to 200k. The point is the OP was using VGChartz as a source when he said nearly 600k. VGChartz is overtracked.

This guy really thinks if he keeps saying "VGChartz is over tracked" itll make it true.

Quick question: Do you believe in Bloody Mary too? lol

I understand that you're new here, but don't get banned twice in your own thread.

That's pure speculation.  You cant prove that.  All we know is its over 200k. I agree vgchartz is overtracking it in the US at least in terms of retail.  The EU could be undertracked for all we know.  But my point is with digital included vgchartz numbers might not be too far the actual sales.  And thats all that really matters whether the OP intended it or not.

You say creamsugar's numbers are pure speculation yet you go on to speculate digital and EU numbers with no real numbers besides US ratings. Digital has nothing to do with this site's numbers or NPD numbers until they start tracking digital. You can't just go around fluffing a bunch of games' numbers to fit your argument unless you have real numbers.

No I said you are speculating that they were close to 200k. He might have worked like this.  Over 250k he says <300k and under 250k he says >200k. You just don't know.

And yes while I'm speculating,  the digital attach ratio on ps4 is like 20% and the fact the game has 15k ratings proves the US store definitely sold over 15k digital but likely over 40k.

Edit: and yes I know this site is retail.  But what I'm saying and you keep ignoring is that his thread title says it sold what vgchartz says,  ie,  560k and in reality it sold that only when you include digital sales then the point still stands that it sold that much. That's what the games success depends on in sony's eyes.

That wouldnt make him a good insider. Especially considering he's able to give exact percentages on multiplats. Very illogical conclusion to come to.

If he cared about exact numbers he'd just give the exact number or a pie chart so it can be worked out.  I'm sorry but your basing your ideas on pure speculation.  So am i but as they say I'm not wrong unless proven beyond all reasonable doubt!

See ya dude! let me when you have something official and not speculation.  I'll believe you then. Until that,  I'll stick with my more reasonable speculation!

Monster Hunter also had a N3DS bundle, which NPD doesn't track as software sales, but Nintendo does.
So, it is reasonable to think that MH placed #10 because a large portion of sales were not considered.

The insider is always a bit vague, but his >200K always means the real number is very close to the given one.

The Order sold 200K, it didn't sell very well digitally, as it sold less than a multiplat releasing 4 days later. It is reasonable to assume that it is very overtracked by VGC.

This number is not a function of quality, fandom or hatred, it simply shows that people were not very interested in the game.

As opposed to die hard Sony fans buying The Order? Are you trying to say that die hard DBZ fans wouldn't buy physical copies?

No, I'm saying Die Hard Fans of anything are more likely to buy digital than any other gamer because they know they'll probably always keep it and it's faster access to the title. I do this with all Street Fighter iterations. Secondly, die hard SONY fans bought the Order? Yeah, that makes sense considering that every great Sony exclusive sold like hotcakes the last 7 years (that's sarcasm btw, MS devotees clown PS users for exclusives not selling well ad nauseum). Why couldn't it be die hard fans of highly stylized cinematic games with interesting stories and gameplay (ie ME!) or die hard graphics whores bought the Order? Food for thought.

I don't think that is true at all.

Cookie?

It makes me truly sad that not only are mediocre AAA titles being accepted by modern gamers, but they're what really sell these days. The worst part is that I suspect younger gamers have no idea how subpar games like this one really are because it's what they're growing up on. Dumbed down graphic showcases that amount to little more than slightly interactive movies.

EXACTLY!

Its like he doesn't understand that we could just as easily say VGChartz is UNDERtracked and be standing on the same ground that he is. Until you got some hard numbers and cold hard facts, im going with the speculation that the Order did 600k first week.
