Forums - Gaming - Project Cars delayed to mid-May

I would rather wait for a game instead of buggy one.

Project Cars delayed to mid-May
Anticipated racer delayed for third time.

Continuing a series of delays for the racer, Bandai Namco and Slightly Mad Studios have delayed Project Cars from its planned April release date to mid-May.

“Despite our long heritage and pedigree in making critically-acclaimed racing games, Project Cars is by far the grandest and most intricately detailed of them all,” Slightly Mad Studios boss Ian Bell said in a press release. “Despite therefore the game being 99.9% complete, the remaining 0.1% attending to small issues and bugs has been tricky to anticipate. We’re absolutely dedicated to delivering a ground-breaking experience and by targeting mid-May fans can be assured that’s what they’ll receive.”

Bell continued, “Again, we want to thank our fans for their support and patience on this matter. There’s a high expectancy from racing fans around the world that Project Cars is going to be an exciting new contender in the simulation racing space and we firmly believe gamers deserve it to be in its most complete and polished state when they come to play it on day one.”

Slightly Mad plans to offer “some free content” to all players as compensation for the delay.

“This gift, that we’re sure is going to excite fans, will be available from day one and revealed shortly,” Bell said. “Keep an eye on our website for more info.”

Project Cars was initially planned for launch last November, but was then delayed to March, and again to April.

The game doesn't exist.

I'm pretty sure the Wii U version is getting delayed even further as well.

How many times has this game been delayed?

Mid May? Uh, Witcher 3 will have my money then, sorry, slightly mad.

PS, PS2, Gameboy Advance, PS3, PSP, PS4, Xbox One

If the PC,PS4,X1 games are gonna be delayed like this, is the Wii U game even going to make 2015? Is it even going to exist? At this rate probably not.

lol, I think it will be a holiday game if they continue to delay it every few weeks.

It was even planned to be released in November 2012 (with PS3/360 versions instead of PS4/X1).

EDIT: yeah, 2012, not 2013...

It looks great, the cars are well modeled, the tracks are nice, but PCARS has one very serious problem.

It just simply isn't fun to play.

Wow, another delay. I'm all for having a great experience when a game is released, but it makes me wonder if this ever will be lol. Either don't give a release date or try to stick to it. At this point it has been delayed a few times and hype seems to be waning for it. I know I don't overly care about it anymore.

Gotta figure out how to set these up lol.

“Plus there are great possibilities to extend our existing WMD community into the Mii Community with discussion and sharing of content and ideas. There’s no realistic racing game on the Wii U currently yet, and we hear the fans crying out for one. Project CARS provides a Forza or Gran Turismo-like experience for those gamers and it’ll be something to really show off what the system is capable of. From our internal playing, it’s looking extremely promising.”

Lmao, remember this? What a joke.
