agreed. i dont want empty open worlds or open world just for the sake of it. if your gonna do it do it right. dont get me wrong, i will play every open world game if it interests me, but i just wish for more linear action games like uncharted and GoW to be out there because i enjoy them a lot.

When done right, with good pacing and a solid story linear action games are every bit as good as open world games. Think Max Payne 3. I have beat that game like 3 times because it's just SO WELL DONE!

It depends on the game. I love open world games like Fallout and GTA, but some games are better off being linear like your Uncharteds and your Halos

Honestly I don't like open world games that much unless the context of the game makes sense for it.
For instance, LA Noire really didn't need an open world portion. It felt really tacked on and a huge waste of resources, imo.
