Forums - Gaming - wasn't the dx12 thing xb1 secret sauce?

But now it's only a performance boost for pc?

What happened?

Around the Network

Once again it is just smoke being blown up your ass. No idea why people have yet to catch on by now.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Got a retro room? Post it here!

No it never was, Phil Spencer even said it wasn't gonna boost X1 months ago.

Nahh, thats PC's secret sauce! X1's secret sauce is Microsoft's money! Can't have the best versions of games if we make them exclusive to xbox yar har har! Although, it kinda falls flat when they make them be timed exclusive cause then the ps4 gamers essentially become the pc gamers of consoles with certain games where they have to wait a little bit in order to (arguably) get the best version of the games on the consoles!

PC Specs: CPU: 7800X3D || GPU: Strix 4090 || RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 || Main SSD: WD 2TB SN850

But but but Sony has no games!

And... And... And... PC is still Microsoft ! (Even though they get $0 from licensing to put a game on Windows).

To be honest the main fans who talk about DX12 are those who don't even own an XB1. Also that is a 100% false statement saying it's only for pc. Phil Spencer said it would have an affect  on XB1 just not gigantic as some were saying. Also there was an early tweet from Phil Spencer saying DX12 would improve graphics to the effect of perfect dark zero to Halo 4, but keep on spreading lies.

The downplayers always ignore this tweet.

My goodness do you even realize what you just said.  So MSFT gets $0 from licensing,  so they are just giving games away free according to you.  This is starting to get ridiculous.

I was going to make this but I don't want a reputation of being a Microsoft hater.  Personally I think it's like the Japanese games support fiasco and Spencer is just telling fans what they want to hear.

No that was magic cloud power, even Spencer said DX12 would only provide a marginal boost to power.

To answer your question, well...
