Forums - Gaming - What if Parasite Eve was released in 2015 as a retail title?

Parasite Eve is cinematic experience that can be finished in under six hours minus going through the Chrysler Building.  I'm not defending The Order 1866, because after seeing Angry Joe's spoiler heavy review, I agree that it looks to be a pos, but most of people bashing The Order 1866 are basing their opinion on initially hearing how short the game was.  Anyone else think this might be how every game that isn't a 10+ hour single player experience is going to be viewed from now on?  Vanquish received some of the same flak when it was released with the whole "Vanquish beaten in four hours" news story that spread across the internet.

And Parasite Eve is an RPG, something you expect to be a long game.

Aya Brea would be too sexy to hate. Lol

The problem with the order it has very repetive gameplay style, a subboss was even reclyed as the final boss in the game. And it has lot of QTEs. Parasite Eve wasnt like that

Length of the game is length from start to finish times how many times we'll want to experience it again. And I'll sooner replay the shorter, more linear experiences.

I rather buy a game with a hot chick in it than a game with a guy and his sexy moustache. No matter how sexy it is, you can't beat Aya Brea.

The Order smear campaign has set a dangerous precedent. We won't hear the end of it for all sub 10 hour single player games now.

On the plus side, more added exposure to the Speed Running community, see you all at AGDQ2016 :^)

Parasite Eve was really short, Metal Gear Solid was even shorter but they are both better than The Order.
They both have a solid gameplay, can be played multiple times and cooler charachters.
