Forums - Sales Discussion - Amazon US March monthly bestsellers and general amazon based discussion

Bloodborne looking really strong, but Amazon is not great at predicating NPD software just looking at last months results.

Also, Bloodborne attracts the hardcore who are more likely to buy online rather than in a gamestop (in my opinon anyway), so this might skew the results.

hoggin' all the action, I see...

So assassin's creed bundle is more popular than the MCC bundle. Interesting.

Playstation 4 is just beasting like heck right now. Bloodborne is #4 and #5 with Type-0 right behind them at #6.

ok updating my prediction guys:

March sales:

Bloodboner: 350k  <  x  <  450k

Type-0(PS4): 400k  <  x

Type-0(ONE) x  <  90k

I think Bloodborne will do more than that. I'll say around 550k

Mario Party performing admirably at 6 and 12 in the hourly and 18 and 32 in the monthly. The Wii U is actually up to 52 in the monthly and sits at 50 for the yearly so apparently the hourly trend might be a bit misleading in terms of its overall sales performance oover long periods. Majora still showing crazy legs but so is Monster Hunter which has bounced around in the teens and low twenties, currently at 22 in the hourly. Kirby still not quite ready to leave the top 100 apparently xD. Someone should keep track of how many recently released AAA games it has outlasted and may continue to outlast :P .

That would be insane if true.Hope you're right!

It's just the reactions it's getting on GAF and the people they're talking about streaming it. MOST of the streams they're watching are by complete 'Soul Virgins' (they're words not mine) and lots of the people in those threads are first to the series too. I feel a momentum for this title that's greater than the momentum for Dark Souls. Now add into that the fact that lots of people who got into Dark Souls are now PS4 owners and it's looking good for a high number. I've been a tad optomistic but I really don't think it's out of the question.

Another thing to factor in is the slight departure of the series. It's not that removed from Demon's Souls fans, so they're going to jump in, it's not that removed from Dark Souls fans, so they're going to jump in, but it's also different enough to attract a completely different audience. I've seen it described as RE-like and Devil-May-Cry-like which broadens its appeal even further.

If you're not aware of how this game is getting received on GAF, just go back a few pages on this thread and read the reactions:

Was checking Amazon and it turns out the XB1 CE of type-0 is worth more than the PS4(which still can be ordered through S-E store)

Ironic isn't it ?
