But even high end gaming rigs still use DDR3 for main RAM. GDDR5 is only used for the graphcs card. It's only the crazy expensive uber spec'd gaming rigs that use DDR4 in the main RAM. So it's not like DDR3 is rapidly falling from use, and even if mid-high end gaming rigs move to DDR4 for main RAM in the next couple of years there's still going to be a lot of lower end computers sold with DDR3. 

Besides how much does the marginal moviements in price fort DDR3 or GDDR5 really affect the over all cost of these consoles. There are probably far more significant cost reductions for both sides that will allow for price cuts.

No disagreeing with you but what are the things in a console that will allow a reduction in price the most?

Better headtracking with the camera yes, not sure if it is required or not.
