Monthly updated. Bloodborne is at 12. It passed XB1. This game is going to be huge for Sony. I think PS4 will sell 430K and Bloodborne 350K. I'm really thinking 500K :]

Well yes, people are waiting for that. MS is also waiting for that. And I'm sure MS will release a special Halo themed Xb one as well, so that people who already own a Xb one will buy another Xb one so they can have teh special themed console.

I'm also pretty sure MS will have Halo 5 bundled with Xb one long term, probably along with RTR. People have been trained to expect 2 games bundled with their Xb one now, so if MS doesn't transition to a different 2 game bundle for the holidays this year that could mean Xb one looks less attractive to the market than last year's offering. Price drop to $299 of course will disrupt that expectations, so long as MS doesn't auto-bundle games at that price.

No way will X1 catch ps4 in the US...ps4 won't be 399 forever and x1 will be harder to drop in price over this gen due to esram and using older ddr43 ram which won;t drop in price anymore. Especially with ps4 outselling it while being more expensive.

What Microsoft has to do is reestablish a price point for the console itself.
What is an Xbox One worth by itself? 299?
And then let the release games and let those games sell the system

Thats not how it works......nor is it that easy. For one ps4 will drop in price easier in the long haul because sony was smart and used GDDR5 and MS went with esram and older ddr3 which won't drop anymore unlike GDDR5, if anything it might get more expensive, look at prices of DDR2 ram now.   You can only go so low, playing your price card to early was already a mistake by MS, as now when sony drops to 299 in one fell swoop the impact will be large, MS has already set a lower standard for their product.

Yes I understand what you are saying, and I am not implying that Microsoft has a chance at winning outselling the PS4.  I am only implying that one of their problems is that the value of the console is obvisouly precieved to be lower than the 349.  I am saying they pretty much destroyed the consumer's belief that the console is worth 349 without any games.

I hope, for the sake of competition & the consumer, that the XBO's sales improve!
