Yep we were never in a disagreement on anything else. I just get fired up when I start talking finance and logistics.

Let me put it this way, if Sony does not have any big suprises up their sleeve for the fall, I think they will offset the lack of a killer app by dropping the price. They may still have momentum, but I think they would do it to preempt the loss of momemtum where as you seem to think (from my impression) that they will wait until they have lost some and use a drop to regain it.

Oh, no, Sony will have projections and targets. If they don't think they can meet those then they are more likely to drop the price. But we mustn't make the mistake of thinking Sony see this as a race to an arbitrary number. They don't think like your average forum user.

exactly why I think they will use a drop to increase momemtum, and it makes most sense to do it in the leadup to the holiday season where it can have the most impact. Meeting projections is great, exceding them does wonders for the share price. Sony has seen this snowball before with the PS1 and 2, hopefully they have not forgetton how to maintain it. They spent last gen trying to play catch up.

PS4- #8
XB1- #22
WiiU-#58

8th to 22nd... thats quite a bit of space ranking wise, wonder how that ll effect next NPD.

I don't belive PS4 will loose momentum this year. There will be a pricecut however, but not more than $50.

I dont think they will ever cut to 350. If they do, MS will cut the XB1 to 299. 299 is a substantial barrier. The XB1 would have a better advantage at 299 vrs 349, than it does at 349 vrs 399.

I think Sony goes straight to 299, if MS goes to 249, so be it. Those numbers dont look to different to a consumer. Both are under the 300 barrier and in the traditional mass market range. I think this is why Sony has waited this long because they dont want this and it is still too expensive to go to 299. 349 would be a defensive move for Sony, 299 would be to make an impact.

If the XB1 was just 349 with no bundle right now it would have very little price advantage, its the games tossed in that really add to the percieved value.

Yeah, I think this conversation has reached the 'let's wait and see' stage. No hard feelings. Just a decent debate :)

to be fair it is splitting sales on 2 SKUs, the MCC is only in the 130s but I would imagine that if its sales were added to the other SKU it would be 16-20 ( basically where it was before MCC bundle was posted)

Guy's when will released the Master Chief bundle? In which week?

Well, seem that Battlefield is doing much lower in Amazon than The Order for PS4.
We know that The Order have sold 200,000, so, according to Amazon, Battlefield Hardline will probabily sell around 150,000?
And the XBO version probabily less with 125,000... 275,000 (?) is bad for Battlefield?
