Or should I try and find a GC version for cheap(07 was most recent I think)

I want a sports game for my Wii to play with friends and all, I was thinking PES... but I am the only one into soccer at all.

If your friends like mini-games or have never played a Madden game before (because it allows family play mode), get the Wii version. If you want a slightly worse version for cheap, the 07 version on Wii retails for $20 less. Of course, both version have weak graphics and a couple little problems here and there.

Does Brawl not count as a sport? What about the old Bomberman game on VC :)

I haven't played 08 yet, but I have 07 for the wii, and it is really fun. The actions (kicking, throwing, catching, etc.) seem odd at first, but feel so very natural after a couple games. It's the only madden I've ever enjoyed playing.

I can tell you I have the game. It's pretty fun especially the party mode but there are a lot of glitches and bugs.

The online servers are laggy and if you save your franchise mode, the next time you play it you cannot load it.

Also theres pass interference glitches and the blurry zoom in camera glitch if you press the button after you select a play.

If you can handle the glitches, go ahead and buy it. It runs smooth at 60fps and the superstar is a great mode that works for me.
