Forums - Gaming - oldschoolfool being cynical about the games coming out this year.

I look at the gamestop list of umcoming games all the time. There's only three games I really want to get this year and two of them are in March. I want the retail version of resident evil revelations 2,medal gear solid 5 and the new batman game. So after june, there's no games I really want. I really hope they announce something big at e3 man!!!! I only have one retail game atm and that's dying light. Dying light is a great game, but it's disapointing to average one good game in 3 months. I only seem to average 4-5 retail games in a year and it used to be much more back in the day!!!! What I'm really saying is,there does'nt seem to be as many games as there used to be. IT could be I'm just cynical toward everything in my old age and nothing seems as good and epic as it once did.

You're not alone, there's about maybe 10 games tops that I'd want this entire year from a combination of Wii U,3ds and PC games, I will admit I can by cyinical but that's only because I've grown tired of paying top prices for games that come out broken or cut up into pieces, backing early access games that so far 2-3 years later haven't gotten very far at all yet are something nice and new that I really want to play and enjoy (like Starbound which I love but it;s progress is super damn slow).

As I grow older I find I have less time to game as much due to work, watching my favourite shows and trying to get into a game, back when I was about 18-20 I could easilly jump into most games and have fun, now I have to get in the right mindset and mood to play most games.

Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.

I'm not a bar person man!!! I don't look at barlely legal girls anymore. I think I have low T. I blame my sugary diet.

There are so many huge franchises and promising new IPs coming out this year. I don't know how you can't be excited for more than three.

meh, dying light was the only new ip that actually panned out for me,but even that was just really a dead island spin-off. hahahaha!!!!

Mario Party 10, Yoshi's Woolly World, Splatoon, Xenoblade Chronicles X and Zelda U are on my radar.

Already bought Majora's Mask 3D and MPT. So that's 7 games in a year for me, hopefully Nintendo announces some cool stuff to release this year.

I haven't had a nintendo system since the super nes!!! if nintendo comes out with a home console after the wii u,then I plan on getting that system. Just don't have time for 2 systems, hell I barley have time for one. lol

Yesterday alone I found out about three very interesting looking indie games by complete accident. Plus the AAA games (Dying Light, Uncharted 4, Zelda U, Arkham Knight, Bloodborne looks cool, Persona 5, MGS5...) and other smaller games (Helldivers, Alienation, The Tomorrow Children...), I think this is a great year.

If you don't think that... Well, you are an oldschoolfool after all

Seriously though... opinions I guess. Go back to previous generations then and discover some new gems, there must enough games there to distract you in between each new game you want.

I honestly think that uncharted 4 is going to get pushed into next year.
