the fact that "faster processing" is listed as a factor for xbox should make it quite clear how seriously this should be taken

Not the mention ''price/value'' with Wii-U. Hardware wise Wii-U is by far the least bang for the buck.

well i think that is subjective, for example, i recently bought guilty gear xrd sign for 60% off from a psn sale because imo the game didn't have enough value for me to pay the full price for it but other people bought it at full price because their perspectives on the games value were different and this can be extrapolated to price/value of the wii u... some people see the value there to drop the money for it and some don't

so nobody have fun with PS4? lol

and Wii U > Better for Kids > see Bayonetta 2. Makes sense

Are you ACTUALLY claiming PS4 is better for children and family than the Wii-U? lol

I read it again. And suprise: never said that

It's interesting to see how for PS4 owners, the amount of people who previously owned a PS3 or 360 is almost even. PS4 seems to have attracted almost as many 360 users as PS3 users.
But for Xbox One, there were way more 360 owner.
And as for WiiU, a huge amount of them were Wii owners.

i don't find it surpriseing that 86% of wiiU owners owned a wii.   i find it surprising that 14% of wiiU owners didn't own a wiiU.

so much for that idea that xbox owners aren't buying ps4's but rather just waiting to upgrade because they are soo satisfied with their 360s.

This.  Same thing goes for resolution.  The one thing I would LOVE clarification on, what do people mean by Bluray player played a big part in their decision?  The XBO has a Bluray player, as well, so you could have a gaming Blu-ray player for $349, instead of $399.  But, more importantly, you can get a Bluray player for $50-$60, so it can't be that big of an influence on their decision.

I'll take the software sales numbers in the US over this survey thanks.

Software sales tell us exactly that.

My impression is that people answering "Better graphics" were lumped into "Better resolution". I mean if you check InFamous 2 vs InFamous: Second Son, the main draw isn't the better resolution, it's how fucking gorgeous that game looks.

i look at a ps4 and think things like,.. if i get one i don't need a chromecast or whatever in order to watch netflix on my tv.  it's added value that helps sway a decision.  no one is buying a console specifically because they need a bluray player but i'm sure some people want a bluray player and can justify the high ($400) price as not so bad because a console does so many things these days.   i know i personally looked at $400 as an almost nothing this gen while feeling overwhelmed by the $323 i paid for a ps3.  coming off of the gen prior to ps360 i had lower expectation for what a console was then coming into this generation.

If you pick slow months it will show that.  Yes, there are always going to be people waiting til the consoles hit $299, or maybe $349 for PS4, before they jump in.  Happens every gen.  But, this does dismiss the assumption of many Xbox fans that many of the gamers willing to buy in at $399 were just unsatisfied PS3 owners.  Of course, line-up in the last years of the PS3, as well as the fact they still stuck with the PS brand, says otherwise already.  This poll just enforces that 360 owners are jumping in, too, but many are switching brands.

Looking at the first question, the survey focuses on the jump from 7th to 8th gen so the XBO does have faster processing power than the 360.
