So has Microsoft then, Halo Wars and Banjo and Kazooie Nuts and Bolts. |
I really don't think Nuts & Bolts is a good example...

Why not?

Well, they are already doing this. Also, with a lot of 3rd party support, there is already a diverse range in prices.

Because it's supposed to be the next instalment in the series (EIGHT years after Banjo-Tooie), not a spin-off.

It would be nice to see more light hearted games return like spyro and crash again if that's what you mean. But carbon copies of a stylus kirby game and captain toad? No.
It is a shame though that sony seems to only really care about the typical 35 year old western gamer. Sure they've done things like freedom wars, oreshika, knack, gravity rush, but they do jack shit to advertise them. They only seem to care about advertizing games like uncharted, the order, destiny (third party I know), god of war, killzone, ect.

Sony had the pupeteer not too long ago but it didn't go very well.

Not sure what you mean, it was the next installment in the series and it was a spin off. Unless your implying that all Banjo games in the future are gonna have the Nuts and Bolts formula and not the original platforming format.

I mean that people waited eight years for a Banjo-Tooie sequel and then got a spin-off, that's so dickish.
Hell, just look at this teaser, there's no indication of it being anything but a platformer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QLWLdO9GLWM
That would be like if Nintendo made Super Mario RPG 2, but it was instead a platformer (like Super Paper Mario I guess)

They already do when then back indies. At least Sony did with Journey, Flower, and First Light. Only Sony hasn't stupidly charged $40 for them.
