As long as Sony is leading in the US, never. Microsoft will just come with insane deals like they did in 2014 as long as they aren't in the lead, and even when they are they'll have some deals. I'm fully expecting a $300 XB1 with Halo 5 (or a game like Tomb Raider) at no additional cost this holiday and possibly $279 at BF. Microsoft is very fortunate that they have the ability to bleed money if necessary.

Which rumors? The only ones I've seen hint at Gears Collection.

Gears 4 this year would be a less than 2 year development time.

Nice list of Milked out franchises. You just need to add Fable in the loop for the complete picture. We are over one year in this new generation and we have two Forza games released and a new one coming up.....I hope you enjoy your rehashed games lineup.

That would need to be an incredibly large team... Even COD has moved to a 3 year development cycle with teams of 200 to 300 (not including outsourcing). With Halo 5 and Forza 6 releasing this holiday, there's no need to rush Gears 4 that much. Saving it for 2016 would make more sense (and cost a lot less :p).

I can see them releasing a gears collection this year though.
