Woah, he's expecting some Gran Turismo or Naughty Dog game level bundling...
Well I doubt it, 2.5-3m by the end of the year and 4-5m lifetime seems more believable, who knows.

Based upon his prediction, we should expect it to move 5, maybe 6 copies WW.
It will depend on word of mouth. Most people know that reviews (especially for exclusives) are generally not trustworthy, so they will wait to hear from people that actually have the game.
The Order 1886 is definitely is the more notorious and talked about game at the moment since Xbox has next to nothing come out for awhile including Wii u everyone is talking about 1886 and writing articles on it for the 5000th time. If things really work out via word of mouth and reviews as well as the reception is great then i can see 3 million+ lifetime sales even more so from new buyers looking for a companion for their shiny new console.
Continuing on a lot of people assume they are damaging the franchise if anything you are making it more relevant than it probably is good luck to you half wits this will be an awesome franchise and just like Uncharted this will be something that no one will see coming especially when the sequel hits RAD is just getting their feet wet, its their first time hitting the console side of things, they have the talent and drive, they have great inspiration, the competition is their to continue to push and motivate them and their end goal is to show up Naughty Dog and beat them i have faith in the studio and i think they can do it.
2.5 - 3 million is a more realistic figure. 4.5 mill with bundles I would assume.

| Salnax said: Pachter may have a point, even though I suspect his numbers are (very) inflated. In a way, The Order: 1886 reminds me of the original Uncharted. Both are new action-adventure/shooters with a focus on graphics and story made for a new PlayStation console. Like The Order, Uncharted was single-player only, could easily be beaten in under 10 hours (veterans can apparently rush through Uncharted in 3 hours), and did not necessarily have the most innovative gameplay. As it turned out, the original Uncharted ended up selling nearly 5 million lifetime, despite being released at a bad point in the PS3's life. VGChartz data also suggests that this was not just a side effect of the sequel's success, seeing as the game sold best before Spring 2009, aka the PS3's tough era. Assuming The Order is at least good at what it's trying to be, Sony can easily use it to sell the PS4 as a powerhouse, bundle it in multiple regions, and create a fanbase to guarantee a future for the franchise (along with keeping Ready at Dawn's interests close to Sony's). It can basically be the same cycle as Uncharted had last gen, but this time it could be even more successful because the PS4 is doing better than the PS3 did. |
i like this post.
assuming their is an order 1887 and it adds multiplayer i hope they turn this game isn't a co-op focused franchise. uncharted has great pvp but i don't need a ton of pvp focused games. but this game looks like it could have an amazing co-op element added into the sequel and i love co-op.
I am in the 2-3 million boat and 5 mil with extensive bundling. This genre is becoming more popular, but it is no where popular enough to sell 5 mil without bundling with a new IP.
Unless TLOU has boosted the popularity of story driven cinematic games more than I suspect. (which I hope to be the case)

add me, the more the merrier.
Well so much for waiting for the dust to settle. The Order is officially a flop. Pachter strikes again!
