Ehhh, I would argue it, but having played neither, I'm sure going to get more people saying that... so... up it goes.

Thanks (: before we do get farther though, understand that if you count this then the same would have to apply to all spiritual successors. Whatever results in parity for your Nintendo thread

Fair enough, though I don't think it changes anything with my Nintendo thread... I intend to get the Ico collection on PS3 when I get the chance.

Oh, also (they just about make the cut-off) - Patapon and White Knight Chronicles.

Patapon, I'll grant. White Knight II was out in Japan in 2010. I'm considering it

 PlayStation 2

7. Samurai Warriors

 PlayStation 3

11. Hotline Miami

For Samurai Warriors are you counting 4 and 4-2 as two unique releases? They don't really seem that unique and the previous full game Samurai Warriors 3 was originally (and still is outside Japan) a Wii exclusive.

As for Hotline Miami, that has a PC version doesn't it?

I wasn't counting 4-2 as unique, but I didn't think of the fact that the previous 2 titles (3 and Katana) were on Wii, so that's struck off. As for Hotline Miami, for no particular reasons, I'm not counting PC or mobile, but I'm going to change the OP to reflect that.

This one was out 2011 in Japan.

Good to see that you already have Persona, Tales of and Neptunia, now the games that you should add are:

PS3
The Guided Fate Paradox, Arcana Heart, Guilty Gear, JoJo Bizarre Adventure, One Pice Pirate Warriors, Hatsune Miku Project Diva F, Tears to Tiara, Drakengard, Ar No Surge, Deception series,

i had to omit a lot of new series that couldnt make it to the list due to being new IPs :/

Just FYI, I don't think many of the franchises I listed are "current" really because I think a lot of them are dead in the water; I'm just going by the metric you're using.

The most recent Arcana Heart and one of the two most recent Guilty Gears was on 360. Everything else added :)

Oh, I'm well aware of that, it would just be far more work than I'm willing to do to investigate each franchise here for likelihood of continuation. This is easiest for me. :P
