Forums - Gaming - need info on resident evil revelations 2

I'm a resident evil fan,but i've never played the first revelations. I also never played zero, but played pretty much the rest of the resident evil games. I also never played any type of episodic type game. what exactly is resident evil revelations 2 suppose to be? is it like any resident evil game, were they slowly release the whole game? Is it like some qte/point and click adventure. I was just wondering, because I'm intersting in at least trying one episode, but I just want to know what exactly this game is.

If it is anything like Revelations with its chapter structure, it is a Resident Evil 6 game with less graphics (but somehow same responsible controls). Every in-game chapter will be an episode. Imagine beating Chapter 1 of Resident Evil 4. That'd be the first episode. Pay for the second, you get Chapter 2...and so on.

So yes, it is like any resident evil game, but they are slowly releasing it.

But not "Telltale slowly". One episode per week, and the whole thing is out at retail the next month.

And don't worry about missing Revelations, because Revelations 2 apparently has nothing to do with the first one storywise.

Revelations 2 apparently has nothing to do with anything, really. But hey, Revelations 1 did have nothing to do either, and they pulled out a nice, semi-cohesive prequel/sequel that fit perfectly.

That's probably your best bet. They're putting in some extra Raid mode content for retail, plus it should have online co-op by then (which it won't have at launch for the digital version).

I've read somewhere that the plot of the story is set between RE5 and RE6, but I doubt it will have references from the previous games since this seems to be pretty much a stand-alone plot.

I'd still rather play the first before this one, even if their stories are completely unconnected.

It's gonna feel strange for me though, playing Revelations on Wii U, and then switching to Rev2 on PS4...

I still want to know what happened to Jessica, Parker, and the rest of the Revelations crew.

Bet with Xander XT:

I can beat more games on his 3DS than he can on my PSVita in a month. Loser has to buy the winner a game on his/her handheld Guess who won? http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=193531
