Moving the posts at its finest. as long as we have no numbers we have no idea by how much the xb1 is selling software better. The NPD doesn't even account for the fact that a more ppl may just be buying more software digitally on the ps4. point us, we can't know for certain. 

what we do know for certain is the hardware. and the ps4 won. common sense would suggest that the ps4 should be down yoy  and the xb1 up yoy  being that one is over 35% cheaper this year and the other is still at the same price. 

Yeah, somebody already made the point that the games that are selling best on X1 now had already peaked on PS4. It's due to the huge surge of new X1 owners that are looking for games to play. Unfortunately, the first party stuff is still being overlooked for the most part. Dying light should be proof that PS4 should generally lead in new software any regular month, since PS4 was the lead on that.

Here's someone's guess over at Gaf:

PS4 192k
XB1 153k

Using 64k for Wii U and assuming the graph is for all consoles with PS4 and XB1 selling the most.

Wii U is 13%. The 8% is probably 360.

Right, that makes sense. I guess the 1.64% is the Wii, so the chart has no handhelds. I was thinking 13% was 3DS before.
360 and PS3 very tight...

  • XBOne ~150k
  • Purple ~39k
  • Light Blue ~35k


horrible, if true
just 10k yoy increase for xb1 (that's way worse than i thought)
80k yoy decrease for ps4

I think the Wii U represents the 12.98% portion of the chart and the pieces represent current gen and last gen consoles.

PS4: ~199K
XB1: ~158K
Wii U: 66K
X360: ~41K
PS3: ~36.3K
Wii: ~8.3K

cod (even without bundles) and minecraft never sold one single month more on ps4 

gtaV sold one month more on ps4, but 2 less (but should be ahead if we include the ~350k bundle copies)
madden and nba2k15 sold more on ps4 in theire release month, but less in the holiday period (madden both months, nba2k15 one month)

far cry was always ahaed on the ps4

so we don't know wich game sold most toal ltd ;)

 

 

cod and minecraft is 100% xb1
farcry is 100% ps4
gtaV and nba2k15 are likely ps4
madden likely xb1 (madden is always one of the biggerst seller for christmas in the us with bigger numbers than launch)


No it is right,COD sold more including bundles.Separately it sold more on PS4 and so did GTA.

So, the X1 is overtracked here on VGC. They have it already at 152k by the 24th. Obviously didn't sell 0-5k in the last week :)
