I'm still not excited. The roster is pathetically small and i'm not seeing enough returning faces. The under wraps story also means they can't excite me with the plot aswell.

Its all very lukewarm. I was super excited and loved MK9 (i bought it 3 times), but this is not interesting me at all. Designs are looking worse and the game is getting a way darker tone that makes the whole thing difficult to see. We need context on why we should care about these new characters and a larger roster is way more important than 3 versions of the same character.
As its looking, i am going to give this one a pass or only get a complete edition on sale. I expect them to get back on track with MKXI.

Ever since the very first Mortal Kombat, I got the game, looked at every Fatality and never touched it again. I can do that on YouTube today, so not hyped at all.

somewhat hyped. I've always sucked at the series,but loved it at the same time. I generally suck at fighting games,but I've always bought most of the mortal games,if that makes any sense.

Nope, grew out of the series a long time ago (the 'gimmick fighter' description seems pretty accurate).

Have you actually done any research on it? You realise it's used for tournaments these days right?

I'm not big into fighting games. My experience with the franchise is the first handful of titles, which were all laughable and gimmicky in retrospect. My research into the newer MK titles involves watching some videos, seeing mostly the same cast of characters and setting I grew to dislike, and moving on. Maybe MK plays really well now, yet I'm so done with the series I couldn't be bothered to even rent 9.

After last entry I will wait for Komplete Edition.
