Forums - Gaming - kickstarter vgchartz game

VGChartz is a kingdom rather than a website.
Takes place in the 7th century, in the middle east.
ioi is the king.
The mods are his servants
We are the people of the city.

Banned members were exiled
They are making a plot to destroy VGChartz.
They got everyone in a newly founded (violent) religion on their side.

The best servants of ioi attempt to destoy the plot internally, on a foundational level.

Action/Adventure/RPG

Thought I would get some ideas not arguments off topic but I suppose that's vgchartz

No, this is how boards/internet works, most people here are to argument, not to actually start a project. Don get me wrong, i like your idea, but i need to feel that you are serious about making this happens no matter what kind of problems and criticsm you get anywhere you put your idea out. If you really want to do this, show us that nothing that happens will make you feel insecure about it.

One thing about game dev: you can't tell if a game idea is good till you play it, so, i would suggest that we don't make any decision till we have at least some prototypes. So, if we would make this, maybe we should first have people that would be ok to work on some suggested game ideas, and them we let those people pick the ideas that we suggest.

You talk about giving the money to charity, so i remenber this crazy idea from neogaf about a game free-to-play when you manage a refugee camp, and everytime that you make a a purchase in game, you actually are making a donation for a real refugee camp. So you are actually making a difference in the real world. Of course, this game will probably touch in thing like corrupt governments, rape, prostitution, so maybe its to much, but hey, its a idea.

"Hardware design isn’t about making the most powerful thing you can.
Today most hardware design is left to other companies, but when you make hardware without taking into account the needs of the eventual software developers, you end up with bloated hardware full of pointless excess. From the outset one must consider design from both a hardware and software perspective."

Give it the Guacamelee feel and call it, "El VGCharteros: Aventura del hombre de las ventas"

Good idea. So maybe a very short game dev competition/showcase (Ludum Dare like) with the theme of "VGChartz Game"? And best recieved idea would recieve community help to go on and make it?
