Funny how a mod can call seece childish and then everybody he disagrees with is self centered and lacks a sense of perspective xD

Stay classy

Just a reminder that mods are the arbiters of this site and are not of the mortal world where we contain imperfections =P.

It also reminds me that all mods must be like Dredd on a daily basis to know when to call the right shots.

Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.

Xbone: Seems to have stuck as the official abbreviation, but I don't like it because it's derogatory and offends people

Lol wut? Who does it offend? How is it derogatory? wtf!

I'm not really sure what else you could call the Wii U and PS4 other than Wii U and PS4... I suppose the Xbox One's abbreviation is a little bit more ambiguous.

There is other abbreviations but it would get you banned.  PoS4 and Wii Eww is two that youll see on youtube comment section.  And just like XBO and Xbone youre adding letters

It's a good thing that I don't read the Youtube comments then .

XBO masterrace!

I pretty much always use XBO. I would think xbo would be easiest but when lowercase it looks like a misspelling of xbox :/

xbone is used a lot by detractors of the xbox brand even though there is nothing inherently bad about it imo so I avoid it

Apparently I'm lazy because I use X1. I thought the point of appreviations was to use a shorter term....

I'll start using Xbone if that's what the people want. Only 17% relate to my version but the majority want Xbone according to the poll. Majority rules as they say.

I rather use XB1

X1 ! it's short, simple and sounds good!

Just try speaking.

Xbone > it's vocal, but disrepectful as hell.
X1 > sounds perfect, simple and short. Like when you say "i want a 360 " or "i want a PS2", sounds nice.
XB1 > good to write, but it is not as vocal as X1, X1 is much more natural.

other > they are just inferior opitions...

I'm of the opinion that the best abbreviations are the shortest ones that can still be universally understood, so i tend to settle for "X1". XO is a potential alternative, but it reminds me too much of 'hugs and kisses'. I seem to randomly switch to XB1 on occasion, but i have no idea why. It's not really a topic i bother internally debating when typing :p

People's stance against "xbone" has always confused me though. I don't personally use it because it's too long (though it's a perfectly logical abbreviation), but the idea that my opinions could be entirely invalidated by me using it rather than "X1" or "XB1" just strikes me as a bit silly.
