That's strange why MS has changed their stance because FFXI on xbox 360 was cross platform with pc, ps2 and ps3 consoles with bc.  I know this because years ago I went back to playing FFXI online on the 360 (after getting tired with the constant crap rehash SEGA were dishing out on Phantasy star universe), and was asking other random players what platform they were playing on and those were their responses.

I hope so. It would be great to see it on the platform too, and I will then consider the game whenever I get myself an X1 this year.

Not strange at all, back then MS were the under dog in the industry and would of sold bill gates grandma to get a FF game on there new system. Now MS is  a much bigger player and FF is not the franchise it once was.

You must be jocking.

The game is already cross-play with pc/ps4/ps3, so it will NEVER be on Xbox, because they don't want to be cross-online with the playstation (that would be cool, but...).

They didnt block it with FF11 online, when they were the dominant force in gaming and MS were the newcomers, so i dont see why they would block it now. As long as its online games thats not behind there PSN+ paywall should be fine, and MMO's and free to play games are not behind that paywall.

Possibly has changed, but we have never seen a single dev complain about it, and we have seen a few speak out against MS about it.

I dont buy this, MS has never stopped Devs doing cross play with PC theyve promoted it at times in the past. SE comments have always meant MS wont allow cross play with the entire FF14 community which obviously includes PS3 and PS4, because they dont want any kind of split in there community. Why make these comments if it was a no go from Sony's side as well.
