so am i okay with paying a higher price for a console so that PC guys can have better access to pirate the exclusives i enjoy?   no,..

PC games actually do very well as far as i know.  May be more pirating but i dont believe its as common as some thinks.

As for porting, i know.  But they may be able to find a way. Could do it through the cloud as it becomes more and more popular.  Either way they could put the games theyre currently working on there.

No, I would not be ok with it but it is going to happen, it can't be stopped.

I am mostly a PC gamer but I don't like the concept of these kind of services. The games provided would be running on the cloud and not natively on the hardware, cloud based games will never have the same quality as a game runing natively on hardware.

Anyways I don't thing this is gonna happen anytime soon, since internet bandwidth is still on a really low level.Imagine the bandwidth needed to stream a game at 4K...We are nowhere near that kind of speed.

all this will do is really remove comp. and make a one OS defined gateway into the console market like it pretty much already is, in Pc already. That was the main Goal anyway. Ask your self, what Main OS will your Pc need to run these App platforms?

will it be Mac? Linux? or windows...Hmmm which of those three OS's will be the main OS for these to run on?

Now add In iOS, and Google's Android, will they also get such an App?
or How about Windows Phone?

Than Lets just add in Nintendo To the Mix....

If you cannot see where this point is going is, one out of the Big Three would like nothing better than to remove the game console market completely from the Picture, and before anyone say's OH' but the xbox platform...

Oh' you mean "Media Center PC" desguised as a Game console?
this Only further increases more One Eco system Gateway for all Gaming other than on a freaking Phone or Tablet, where pretty much the only option for your Pc OS that you would have to have as a requirement to run all those great 1st party Console games would need One and Only one Pc OS to be able to Use to even be able to run such games.

there was already such a platform already in the d@mn market it was called a Pc!
Slowly, this is the end goal to obtain, it was never about building the Game console market it was all about destroying it!

So to say, would i be ok with this.../s ...Sure like the above, i would like nothing more to pay more and less OS choices in order to play these game's other than on a phone or tablet ..im really enjoying the show, im just waiting on the Move to mobile next.

It's about the OS and being the gateway for all things Software, as long as there is no other Os to compete with the one that this company make's

What is really Ironic, is the fact that a certain company could have made  Loadable OS ver of Its main OS just for Gaming! but that would not have been good for the end goal of destroying or killing another OS on Console's that are needed to run such software other than the OS they make in the game console market.

I AM BOLO

100% lover "nothing else matter's" after that...

ps:

Proud psOne/2/3/p owner.  I survived Aplcalyps3 and all I got was this lousy Signature.

Don't really care what happens to be honest as long as I have a place to play games. I would prefer I'm not put into a position that I have to use a keyboard and mouse though.

piracy is in the neighboorhood of 85% to 90%.   pc can still bring in good numbers of units sold though because while console's active userbase is in the tens of millions pc's active user base is in the hundreds of millions.   ..but even with good unit numbers the price per game is waay lower on pc than on consoles.  so pc generates a decent amount of revenue on a number of dollars basis but falls orders of magnitude less than on consoles on a per capita basis.

tl;dr,.. there is a reason why larger budget games come to consoles first and pc late and are unoptimized for pc.  money.  consoles generate more of it.

the rise of free-to-play is a consequence of piracy.  the rise of the subscription based model is a consequence of piracy.  pc devalues games.  now in theory i should like cheaper games in practise i hate that cheap games actually means cheaply made games.  pc is like poison for well-made AAA blockbuster games in the same way that smartphones is killing well-made games for mobile gaming (dedicated handhelds),. large numbers of consumers unwilling to pay to play.  the only pc porting i can get behind is things like playstation now where the source code isn't distributed and therefore can't be pirated.  that's my two cents at least.

THat was Ubisoft that said that and most people seem to believe it isnt really true for various reasons.  At least for the majority of games.

Im not saying which one makes more, but PC is a very important market none the less. And i definitely wouldnt say theyre poisonous

As long as I can still buy dedicated PS and Xbox hardware I'm ok with it.

Though if I had a choice, I would much prefer it didn't happen

Pretty much how I feel. I prefer owning hard copies of my games and I enjoy collecting the consoles as well. I'm fine with movies, music and TV shows going digital but with gaming I prefer physical.
