Hi every one, I just noticed something that heaps of you probably allready have but I was checking out the console sales graphs and noticed that at no point in the wiis life has the ps3s cumulative sales been more then it. On its launch week it sold more then the ps3 did during its weeks leading up to the wiis launch starting the wii off on the graph with a higher sale.

Note- I know that during the week wii had to have started with 0 and it worked its way up to being higher then the ps3 but as the chart tracks weekly sales its first sales number for the week was higher then the ps3s at that time n thats what im getting at

I just thought it was a little funny that the ps3 spoiled its one and only chance to say it was ever ahead of the wii

........ I'm not exactly sure what difference it would make if the PS3 had higher sales for one week or not......

Well I thought PS3 had beaten the Wii in weekly sales before Christmas, if that's what you're talking about...

im talking cumulative sales, have a look at the graphs, on the wiis launch week it sold more then the cumulative sales of the ps3 leading up to the wiis launch putting the wiis first entry on the graph higher then the ps3s current sales for 11/26/06 which is the wiis first tracked sales week

it was a horrible launch, a horrible year for the PS3 period. It had nothing to do with the Wii. t

thats exactly why the launch was terrible. even i wouldnt line up at bestbuy for it because i would have to fork out 699 plus cash for a game.]

although ill be waiting in line for the next playstation because ill be like 18 and i can do what ever i want wooo!.

The Wii launched with significantly more units shipped than the PS3 due to shortages of the blu-ray diode.  That is the same reason the Euro launch was delayed.  Not saying it would have beat the wii, but that is a big reason for the low numbers.
