Forums - Sony - Now that GT5P has 75 cars, online, 6 tracks, will you buy it?

""psh, 6 tracks, not worth it"."

I didn't put any words into your mouth. But good job avoiding the point by retreating on this same point.

Guys, what did I just say two posts ago.  Lots of people think that minigame collections aren't worth it.  Lots of people still buy these games.  These are not necessarily the same people!

Simple solution:  Rent GT5P.  Buy GT5.

You get to sample GT and you don't waste so much money on a "demo" game that is going to be completely obsolete as soon as the full version comes out.

Best of all worlds.

omg. i just searched the G25  and it was 299. F that, ill just get some cheap ps2 or pc usb steering wheel.

yea, it's not cheep, but then again, it's USB, so I am sure it will work with anything going forward (PS3/PC/PS4/XBox720).

Plus it's 250 at some retailers, and it's leather and steel. What else could you ask for? :)

The Logitech Driving Force Pro can be found for about $100.  I highly recommend that as a more cost-effective alternative that still gives you a kickass experience.

I won't buy it, but only because I'm not a racing fan.

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

I much prefer the pedals for the G25.  If you have the money, it's worth it to splurge on the G25.  Especially if you are really into racing games/sims.  Can't beat the clutch and shifter either.  Well, ok, the shifter is a cheap POS, but once you get used to it, it's not that bad.  Just wish it had a 7th gear :-/.

As for GT5 Prologue only having 6 tracks, it's plenty for me.  I'm going to get a lot more play time out of these $40 than I got out of something like Folklore or Ratchet and Clank or Uncharted.  Not that I regret buying any of those games, but GT5 Prologue is completely worth the price of admission for me.  Hell I'll probably spend as much time just running time trials with several of the cars as I've spent on all of those games combined.

I was honestly going to buy it anyways, along with a G25 logitech. I don't want to buy a racing seat though....

oh yeah i will buy it,now it looks more a full game than a demo

Sales will show. =)

Sony fail once again - their much hyped Sixaxis once again unsupported by their own games division polpyphony.
I am baffled by the apparent difficulty sony are having using their own hardware while Evolution studios managed to incorporate optional and very usable motion controlls on the launch title Motorstorm. It is the Very Best Offroad Racing game I have ever seen or played on any system. Titles like MX VS ATV, collin-Mc-cray , sega rally which launched after this game dont come close to it's free roam action, quality , remarkable and enjoyable physics effects, damage and good motion support it's 2 million units sold is well deserved.
Gt5P on the other hand is an overpriced game with no damage effects, no sixaxis support , few cars and less tracks. Instead of improving on ony of the things, amazingley they went to enormous effort to model the inside of the cars instead ! - the last thing i would be doing is admiring the details of the interior furnishing's while racing along at 200Kmph what a total waste of effort -memory and processing power. It's sad to see such an iconic release like GT5P is worse than the previous GT4 on the Ps2. Polyphoney have lost their direction completly.

Hope they can fix these problems by the time the Real GT5 comes out.
