They could turn a profit every year with just FIFA. If they ever lose the license to that , they would crash and burn YOY.

when is the license up for tender?

Well, the DLC business model is certainly working. They are making three times as much on add-ons and subscriptions than on a base game...

Ultimate Teams, BF Premium, skins, shortcuts.....say what you want, people, but it is obvious that they are not just here to stay, they will be more numerous as the time progresses.

That's when comparing DLC to digitally downloaded games, though. Add physical copies, and it's a totally different picture. If we assume 20% of revenue from digital, that's 2.1bn vs 900m. Still, DLC would be a good extra chunk.

Anyway, I'm happy most of the revenue comes from traditional games. Mobile is still growing but the start of the new gen has shown us that it's an added market, rather than a replacement.

To fix this, we just need to stop buying their products.

They publish a lot of games I like. Sorry buddy I will happily consume with my dollar.

On another note, doing good in the console side without making many games for Nintendo. Only 5 for the 3DS and 4 for the Wii U.

Congrats to EA for still being #1.

Not bad. I wonder how long it'll stay that way?

I hear ya... do what makes you happy.  I tend to buy games that I play for years and years so the EA model doesn't normally work for me.  There are some exceptions because the company is just so huge.  It was a sad day when 2k Sports lost the ability to purchase licensing from the NFL.

my condolences....
