Good player, but way, way overrated. Even at his peak was never one of the best players in the world, not even close. Great free-kick taker, but so what, even a player like Sinisa Mihajlovic was superior in that regard. Beckham is sort of a proxy for England, the British press hypes them up way too much and people start to think they really are much better than they actually are, but not to say they aren't a good side on their day.

Oh yeah, and his current club is complete and utter crap in terms of name, management, history, players, anything else you can think of.  They aren't called the La La Gals for nothing.
