Fight like Klingon warriors.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs

You act like the best selling console is the best console.

Sales are nothing to be jealous over.

I mean, the PS2 is a piece of shit console that sold a ton. As a Gamecube fan, why would a be jealous of a crappy console?

I agree, they aren't, but are you telling me none of the PS3 or 360 fanboys are jealous of the Wii sales figures, mainstream media coverage, and popularity on the internet? I think about half of them are. Is it sad? Yes. Does it happen? Oh yeah, that's why we see so much Wii hating. There is no other explaination.

First i must say that i too see more Wii "hating" than others. Although your points were valid and have effect, i don't still see them being the biggest reason for the "hate". Things changing is the most common reason for people to go defensive, and two things have changed (3 in a way) in this generation. Which are Nintendo taking the spot from Sony and Wiis new control methods (and the 3rd one would be pricing above the core customers range). If Wii would be winning by being similar console than PS360, you'd be seeing a lot less opposition, since the change would be a lot less than what it is. Or if Sony would have come out with the Wii Remote and still be winning, the opposition would be a lot smaller, since the change would be a lot less than what it is. There's always the hate and the blame for the winning console no matter what. When the US videogame crash and the practical fall of Atari occurred, people blamed Nintendo for destroying gaming and Atari falling (when the reason was Atari fucking it's own things up). When Dreamcast died, people were blaming Sony for it (when the reason was Sega fucking its things up). When N64 came out, people were blaming Nintendo for the new ways of playing games, and we, the hardcore gamers of that time, still blame Sony for destroying gaming from what it was before PSX. There's always someone who has to be blamed. I'd like to see if Mike Intellivision would share his thoughts about the issue, since he's been gaming longer than the majority of this sites members have lived and he has been gaming thru, in comparitively mature age, the VG crash, fall of Atari, rise of Nintendo, the real console war of MD-SNES, switch from 2D to 3D, the rise of Sony etc, and therefore he propably has pretty good view on how someone gets blamed everytime something changes from status quo. Oh, and the fanboys PS3 hate originates a lot from its price, when kids whine they can't afford it.

Ei Kiinasti.

Nintendo games sell only on Nintendo system.

well what i really hate r the people who try to push the Wii on PS3/360 fans saying "well its THE counsole for hard core gamers!" well i dont agree so shoot me! u cant compare the PS3 and the wii because they have different target markets and different appeals to different ppl, if the wii was the only console available i wouldnt be a gamer rite now because i need grraphic power AS WELL as good game play. am i wrong? THE ANSWER IS NO!
