Have you seen his latest game lol? He doesn't even deserve to be on this list.

how do you know rodea's going to be bad? it looks fairly promising... looks like nights+ki: uprising.

It looks like a bad looking GC game and it's on Wii U. I hated Nights as well by the way.

guess that makes sense then. the graphics are wii-level (which was little more than gc-level, as you suggest), but that's because it was originally a wii title.

i'm one who thinks nights into dreams (the saturn game, not the wii sequel) was the best 3d platformer sega/sonic team ever made, in the same way ristar was the best 2d one. and i loved uprising. hope xseed or atlus picks it up for na distribution.

I also hate KI: Uprising lol. I wanted it to be like Metroid, but in third person and based on mythology.

Looking at the sales of Nights I'm pretty sure my tastes aren't the weird ones. ;)

Nights had great sales.  Nights 2 was an awful title with horrible sales, a sequel to a Yuji Naka game without any involvement from Yuji Naka.  As far as Yuji Naka team they have had success and have been profitable in mobile.  His company isn't going anywhere, it's profitable.  While that might not be the direction we want to see, he's not going anywhere.  It's harder to retire when you own your own company. Real Ski Jump for example is a cash cow.

I never said he should retire, his presence in the gaming industry doesn't annoy me. He should do whatever makes him happy. I just don't think he's a great game designer.

It's just my opinion, I'm happy you like his games.

So this is just about who's games you like and not who you think will last the longest?  I guess I misunderstood the concept.  Granted I'd still upvote Yuji Naka as he makes the best fishing games I have ever played.  Then again Yuji Naka listed titles aren't the ones I would of choosen.  Phantasy Star Online, Burning Rangers, and Nights are titles that I think should come before Chu-Chu Rocket.

Well, I've been constantly upvoting Yokoi who died in a horrible car crash in the nineties. So yeah, you misunderstood the concept. Want to change votes? :p
