No. Just no. It is not even close to be the same thing... It is like asking Microsoft to do not bundle Skype with Windows (or to force them to bundle it with some other voice/audio com software).

Looks like Sony has almost the monopoly on console in Europe, so would you think Sony needs to install Microsoft Marketplace and Steam on it? This is a ridiculous concepts :)

I also agree with Kowen on that, Europe is real joke for that matter. Forcing Microsoft to pre-install Chrome and Firefox is just ridiculous... (Esp. Chrome actually where Google is one of the company showing the most mal-practice in term of monopoly). 15 years ago, I could understand but today? really? I can see a lot of those who voted for that being US-haters or wanted to show "those evil American$" how to behave in their wonderful liberal Europe. (I'm French by the way and moved to Canada 15 years ago for a good reason...) For entreprenariat, Europe is the worse place with all those stupid laws (at least France was and is still unfortunatly...).

Yeah I wasn't sure if this was reminiscent of the anti-trust suits that MS ran into w/ the EU years ago, I'm still not sure, anyone with a legal background able to clarify the situation?

Well seeing how they havnt talked about the European release yet we have no idea what it will look like.

Also that law is so stupid if you don't like ie install the one u like and uninstall ie

Nope. Because the Xbox app only streams games from Xbox to PC -- it doesn't actually play games natively. Neither Sony or Valve offer PC software that's really similar to that.

If someone offered a PC app that allowed you to generically stream console gameplay from X1 or any other console though, then there could be antitrust concerns.

Yeah maybe, but i am talking from a sony bussines standpoint. Why shouldnt they try to sue MS over this if they can?

Sony and Valve dont need to sue Microsoft. The state already puts Microsoft in check for them. They are a monopoly hungry company.

I also don't get Kowen, it is like he is brainwashed.  Why attack other countries about their financials while Uk the last years went from joining the top 50 biggest debts  in GDP ratio to joining the top 20 biggestdebts in GDP ratio. 

Kind of sad to talk like that when UK citizens life satisfaction went down under average at the OECD index...
