I think most people have now accepted that the WiiU will never be a huge seller, despite the fact that is has some pretty great games.

To be honest I pretty much knew this when I got my Wii U. Do I regret buying one? Nope not ever and I dont care for how much its selling!! How did we all manage in the golden days when It was all about the games and nobody knew or even cared how many consoles whatever corporation was shifting? Enjoy the Wii U, its got the best games with great deals and free online play to the biggest game on the planet MK8!!

I enjoy my Wii U as well, but I also care about how much it's selling because I want Nintendo to be successful and games to be profitable, which is obviously easier with a bigger install base. Not really sure if MK8 is the biggest game on the planet though...

For the same reason that some people had faith in the PS3 to come back and killing off the Wii. It's called wishful thinking.

Why do any of you Nintendo fans still have faith that the Wii U will make comeback? ... There is practically no hope left for the Wii U.

1) Because Sandman taught us that 'hope' is the most powerfull thing in universe (although I think that 'love' is the most powerfull). 'Practically no hope' means there's still hope. You said that.

2) Because some things defy logic, like PS4 sales. (ok guys, no need to make it personal)

=)

Wii U is an alright system. Im happy i own one especially since i got it for $250. $300 is a little steep for the unit in my opinion

Why do any of you Nintendo fans still have faith that the Wii U will make comeback? Why? It's been given every single opportunity to shine in 2014 from Mario Kart 8 to Super smash Bros to the highly acclaimed Bayonetta. There is practically no hope left for the Wii U. Sure Zelda may be coming, sure Star fox is on the way and sure their are other secondary first-party games coming but at the end of the day, this is the end of the road for the Wii U. With nothing better to offer and a new Nintendo console already in the works the Wii U will be lucky to hit 15 million.

With this thread I am not stating that the Wii U is a horrible console. Infact the Wii U is amazing and has amazing first party games but unfortunately as it stands the Wii U is definitely not making a comeback and nothing done will help increase its sales.

Edit: Short version. Will it manage to reach Ps3 or X360 numbers. The Wii U when  launches were allighned was actually doing better than both of these consoles.

Ok, I'll bite.

What exactly is this said comeback?  Why do you feel anyone thinks there is such a comeback?  Why do you care and what has caused you to ask this question?

With this response, I am not stating that any consoles sales are bad, infact every console has awesome games that many people enjoy.  Unfortunately this site does start with video game sales, but it also does not end there.  For many years I couldn't say I had a dream when I slept which I considered normal and I wouldn't think less of someone who did.

The fact is, we all know what Nintendo is and that console sales alone aren't more than a fraction of what they do.

I'm actually quite surprised with console sales lately and see all of them as not only a salute but a great benefit to the industry.  It's this kind of enthusiasm that helps perpetuate video games in general.  Questioning it is like asking your lover why they feel the way they do about you.

because they're pumping out arcade-quality games, while the POS4 recycles the same shit we see every 5 years.
