I didn't respond because what u say makes absolutely no sense and there is no point in discussing it.

That was completely inevitable, due to Smash and Mario Kart. It's not really an achievement, when you compare the previous year's holiday releases. Can you find any parents who believe the Wii U is next gen? In my experience non-gaming people still don't know it exists. |
It was specally becourse of MK and Smash that WiiU sold better than 2013.. Yes.. Absolut.. but why do you say that as a bad thing.. ?
I'm a parent.. and yes i believe that.. :) (but it dossent matter.. point is.. it's the new Nintendo home console.. much better than the previus)
And yes there are still parents and other non-gaming people that don't know Nintendo made a new console.. (Same as Ps4.. One.. Ipad mini and the new star wars)
So i agree with you.. totally.. But i don't see why you would espect that WiiU now will start decline..?
We who look at sales and follow gaming.. know that this gen is just started.. And the (around) 15% of last gen people, who have a "8 Gen" console.. are mostly Nintendo/Playstation/Box fans.. The real "masses" has not decided/discovered yet..
When theese.. Let's call'em "casuals" (The biggest % of any console or gen) will join the Gen in the comming years. .. (and now comes the question)
Don't you think that MK8.. Smash.. Splatton.. Zelda.. Mario Maker.. Donkey.. Mario.. Fit.. Sport.. (and a lot of other games from Nintendo) all in new never seen before HD.. A New way of gaming and interacting with the game,, and offering off-tv play and internet.. Compitable with Amiibos.. combined with the lowest price.. Will get some of thoose people looking at WiiU.. ?

First... Thanks :)
Second.. can you be more specific.. Only said 3 things.. for the sake of good debate.. please say what you think makes no sense.
1. We will start seing more casual gamers now
2. Casual gamers do not look at "release schedule"but the games allready out
3. The parents will also start buying for smaller childeren
Do you really think.. this is so fare out.. and makes no sense.. (becourse for me it's a fact... just saying)

You keep saying these things will happen, but you still aren't giving good reasons for why these things will happen. You especially aren't giving an explanation for why they will result in sales doubling from last year.
1. The biggest casual games from the Wii have been available on the Wii U for a while. Wii sports, Mario Kart, New Super Mario Bros, Wii Fit, Just Dance, Wii Party, Mario & Sonic, etc have all been available on the Wii U for 6+ months. What reason do casual players have to dive in today that they didn't have a couple months ago?
2. Same deal, what games out today weren't out a month ago that will result in sales doubling?
3. Why? Is it cheaper? Are the games cheaper? What will suddenly cause parents to start buying Wii U's in 2015?
If these things are facts to you, surely you can substantiate them more than just saying they will happen.
The other thing to consider too is Wii U will be facing much more blistering competetion from PS4/X1 this year.
Neither console really has "revved" up yet, this is the year you will start to see the first really "big" PS4/X1 titles and exclusives built specifically for the system, not just games built for last-gen upscaled for "next-gen". Batman Arkham, Metal Gear Solid V, maybe Final Fantasy XV, Uncharted IV, Halo V, etc.
I think PS4 will see it's first price reduction to $349.99 this year too and MS will push the X1 down again to $299.99 for the holiday season 2015.
I think Wii U will kinda be left in the dust. So Wii U being $249.99 isn't really some game changer.
The sad thing is really the Wii U hasn't really faced "hard" competetion just yet, the PS4/X1 have been kinda just waking up and getting ready until now, that changes in 2015.

I see what ur saying but at the same time many people said the same thing about last year. They said 2014 would be worse than 2013 because PS4/XB1 would be available. They also said things like XB1 at $350 was too close to Wii U and would hurt it's sales yet Dec 2014 went on to be the biggest month Wii U has ever had.

Yakuzaice summed it up pretty well.

People really underestimates Wii U potential sales on 2015...
Is like some people believe that every year the game is restarted to 0, but is not, there are already a lot of reasons to buy a WiiU, and 2015 is going to be the best year for WiiU on software quality and number of first party games... so there´s no reason at all for WiiU to go down 2015. I hear the same everytime "all the nintendo fans already have the WiiU" well i hear this since WiiU was at 5m... makes no sense at all, and there´s tons of people waiting for Zelda and for a price cut, and both are going to happen on 2015, probably at the same time!
So in the moment that Zelda is released and WiiU gets a price cut people will see a cheap console with:
-Zelda U - Zelda WWHD - Mario Kart 8 - Hyrule Warriors - Bayonetta 2 - Smash Bros 4 - Xenoblade Chronicles X -
Mario 3DWorld - Splatoon - Star Fox - Pikmin 3 - DK Tropical Freeze - Yoshi Woolly World - Mario Maker -
Devil´s Third - Zombie U - Captain Toad - Super New Mario/Luigi bros U - Wonderfull 101 - etcetcetc
And of course: Free online and backward compatibility with Wii.
All that for... 200 - 250 $ with a game... There´s just A LOT of reason for buying a Wii U on 2015, and still some people is thinking that is going to seell worse this year...
