DK should be the 9th million seller next week. Hyrule Warriors will be 10th a couple of weeks after.

Its the same thing.

VGC game database isn't exactly an accurate source for game information

VGC only gives estimates, give them a break.

Listing Mario as an action game is within the margin of error.

We've known MK8 to be undertracked WW for a while. It could be balanced by now, but you never know.

I believe it was Nintendo's Financials having it 200-300K above VGChartz. I'll have to verify that though.
