Forums - Nintendo - Monolith Soft's unofficial Xenoblade X website has now been upgraded to official status. What do you think?

Should Monolith Soft redesign their website now that it is the official one?

Yes, it could be better! 7 38.89%

Well, after further translating (thank you google translate, you usually suck but have at least confirmed this) on xenobladex.jp, the Information panel says:

"Monolith Soft flying home page to become official website. OPEN 1/15/15 up".

This basically confirms that the website (as of the 15th) is now the official one. So what do you guys think? Are you glad it's in Monolith Soft's control?

Not that I hate the content of the website, I just personally think their layout could be much better. Like having the picture full screen with the music playing in the background and the content contained in different tabs (that way the music doesn't have to reload over and over).

Bayo 2 is the perfect example of an amazing website design. Clean, interesting, focused, awesome audio and video clips that play automatically.

Another great one

(this one is Fatal Frame 5, it's really impressive!!)

I personally like how Splatoon does it with their tumblr account but at least this is something

PC Specs: CPU: 7800X3D || GPU: Strix 4090 || RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 || Main SSD: WD 2TB SN850

The stylish Bayonetta 2 website didn't help the sales.
The generic Xenoblade X website won't hurt the sales.

I think most people never care for game websites anyway.

Splatoons Tumblr site is filled with awesome pics and videos but suffers from the same problem, the fact that it's all mixed together (if I'm looking at the right website). http://splatoonus.tumblr.com/ The problem is there is nothing that can take me to just the videos if I want to just see the videos. This is especially troubling on the Tumblr site because you could wind up scrolling down for a LONG time before you find the content you want. Another case of where the content is amazing, but needs to be cleaned up IMO.

Why do I care about Xenoblade X's website? Because the game isn't out and I want to stay current with news. When the game does come out, it is also a good place to go to get the game (if you are trying to find a game that is sold out where you live). It should hype you up to get the game in both of the uses I have personal experience with.

Not to mention if someone didn't know what Bayonetta 2 was I would point them to the website instead of youtube. Xenoblade X, I would point them to youtube.

I think their facebook page mentioned a re-design of their page is coming. Likely when their new project is being revealed =)

I will say it is rather.... Bare. It seems like it has the exact opposite problem of the Xenoblade X site. Having to hit enter on the intro page is sad, the background being entirely white is funny, and there isn't anything extra, like having music from their games going on in the background. While I get annoyed by trying to find a specific thing I'm looking for with unorganized info, Retro's website is worse simply because it bores me.

Agreed, but being there isn't any translated videos I can understand why there isn't.

Why would someone go on an official website when there more and more accurate info on the game everywhere else?
