Forums - Nintendo - Xenoblade Chronicles 3D and what it means for the main Pokemon games going forward.

Assuming they would follow this "games as they are on handhelds and big AAA games on home consoles" scenario, the AAA game wouldn't have to worry that much about the competitive scene. It would be about having a big adventure, not so much "raising your Pokemons to fight other people".

That's what I think anyway.

That's not a really marketable Pokemon game. One of the biggest reason's Pokemon is still so popular is because you raise your Pokemon to fight other people. Taking that aspect away takes away a big part of why Pokemon is appealing. It's like making a single player only COD, but the story is good.

1 - I like it better

2 - Exactly, that was from GF's point of view not mine

1. ...Why?

2. I know it was from GF's POV lol.

So you want to need to use an extra stick to be able to see everything properly. Well, to each his own I guess.

...You can't see everything properly without one. Top down isn't seeing things properly.

Hum, I don't mean to take that aspect away entirely. It SHOULD have multiplayer, absolutely. It'd be dumb not to, but... It's hard to explain what I mean really.

Only Nintendo would have a Gigaton like the long desired Pokemon MMORPG staring them in the face and shy away from it.
Since 2011 they have developed a potent dislike of money.

Pokemon is already an mmo though.

Pokemon would certainly benefir from a fully explorable 3d world. But this kind of game doesn't need xenoblade levels of scale.

Because the real world is 3D and therefore the game has to be 3D?
