Isn't Donald Trump second in the polls right now and quickly approaching number one. The more racist the media makes him the more votes he gets.

It is just the news coverage of him pushes people to remember him more. Remember, most Americans vote in these polls based on who they can recall from the media rather than some educated opinion on the matter. Donald Trump has always been a joke candidate. I don't honestly believe anyone would truly vote for him other than as a joke. 

So what your saying is he has a high chance of winning and will be in the finals?

Nope, a month from now nobody will even think about him again unless he does something else silly. I can talk to a liberal, conservative, or libertarian about Donald Trump, and I can guarantee you the first thing that will happen is that they'll laugh. 

At this stage it is mostly name recognition driving the polls, we haven't even had any debates yet... That being said, it is still sad that people that recognize his name would consider him... Too many crazy people out there... However, don't expect him to stay at the top for long, trump isn't a serious candidate, he is just building his brand...

So what do you guys think about Bush's comment on having people work longer hours or Trump's strategy of bombing all the oil in Syria?

So... Trump is threatening to go third party now if he isn't treated nice? Can this guy be a bigger joke than he already is?

Also, republicans have the first debate of the primary season coming up here in a couple of weeks. Only the 10 with the best polling average will be allowed to debate... so there will be a few candidates watching from the sidelines...

Gop debate tonight. There will actually be two debates, an early debate with all the low polling candidates, and a prime time debate with the top 10. I may not be able to update this thread tonight, as I am hiking around the desert today, but feel free to discuss it.

Well... It is basically hers to lose at this point... If she doesn't win, she really can't blame anybody but herself.  Incumbent presidents aren't even set up to win as well as she is at this point...
