Forums - Sony - PSN Web Integration with EU PS Forums.

The Official Playstation EU forum Mods have announced that as of the 17th of March, all forum users will need a PSN account to log into the EU forums. So you either need to link your account with your existing PSN login, or create a PSN account on PC to use the forums. Before, you could just create an account with your email address, but it will be mandatory to use a PSN to log in. Exactly like the xbox forums.

You are able to link your account as of today, but changes won't be made until the 17th.

I think it's a sign of things to come. Looks like PSN is going to have a huge makeover this spring. Anyword on having to do the same with US or JP Forums?

This is actually pretty cool, I remember seeing it on the Xbox forums and being a bit jealous. Should they really be forcing people to do this though?

Cool. I wonder when this will happen to the NA PS forums. Now I'm wishing I had made my PSN ID makingmusic476 instead of just makingmusic, for continuity purposes.

Although this sucks for PS.com regulars who have yet to get a ps3. :(

this thread rose from the dead lol. according to one of the mods, as of the 17th, you 'won't' need a ps3 to create a psn account and logon.

doubt it, you have to activate your psn account on your ps3 in order to play online. i'm guessing it will show on the user information.
