From what I can read, Elma is a colonel for the organization BLADE, and Genius girl (who we are told as of now is named Rin) is a mechanic working on a special doll..

hopefully this means we get a lot more updates about the game itself going forward since its coming out in Japan in April and there is still a ton of mystery surrounding the game

As of right now there are only two things that concern me.

Will the mechs be customizable at all.

Will it be online.

I think the answer to both of these is yes (with mech customization strictly being color and weapons, though I wish you could exchange parts from every mech).

hopefully both these questions can answered soon cause with how you can create your own character and how we see different looking mechs in each trailer imagine their will be Mech customization and their was the chat box in the first trailer and Monolith has posted job listings for network programers in the past as well as  recently saying there will be some online functionality i am betting this game has online co-op.

It depends on whether the game actually releases 24 April in Japan. If so I think fall is very likely. I doubt it will take longer than a few months for translations. At least they better not screw us until 2016....
