Actually 07 was the Wiis and 08 will probably be the Wiis as well. Between the HD consoles though, yes that is correct.

Is not about how many really.  They can both have 1000 games but with my budget I would only buy 2-4 games.  For the PS3 as I mentioned before there isn't a game makes me want to buy one for.  Yes it has mgs,rof2,killzone2,gt,etc etc but none of those currently interest me. I am sure they interest plenty of other people.  Now for the 360 if I didn't owned one gears of war 2 would make me buy one as well as gta4 though yes I know it is also coming to the PS3 but I would enjoy the extra content if available.  I am big on RPG's and the 360 has as many if not more coming out this year then the PS3.  Seriously for me at least this is shaping out to be one of the best years for the 360 and I assume it will be very good for the PS3 as well.  Basically similar to jandree we can agree to disagree and there is nothing wrong with that.

Yeah I think your right. But this year will definitely be interesting.

That we can definetly agree on and should see something fairly soon with the 360 price drop.  Also E3 will just be huge this year I bet.

Comparing those last 6 games shows that you have this year a pure RPG in fable, Pure Adventure/action in Banjo, and finally at least for me GoW2 is a way better shooter then Halo 3. Again is all about preference and this year the 360 has the best variety which can get more people to buy it. Again not trying to knock the PS3 as it does have some good games coming out but the 360 is as good if not better especially if you look at diversity. But heres the reasoning behind that. 1st poster: I agree that Halo 3 will still be around and qualilty doesn't die off over time. But the effects are far as hardware sales are done for all of those games past a few 1,000 consoles except for Halo 3. COD4 is the game to beat as of right now. Halo 3's ability to sell consoles was mostly replaced by COD4's popularity, Bioshocks hype stopped by Halo 3, and Mass Effect never really mattered much. So all three are good games, but you won't find many people buying console games because of those games. A couple of people will buy it because its good, but they will buy their consoles because of GTAIV or GOW2 for the most part. The last thing you guys are realizing is that the PS3 and the 360 are not equals. Its not all about gaming quality(as you can see with the Wii game sales). What the 360 showed last year was that even with pricing and the best games it still couldn't break 10,000,000 in a year. If the situation was reversed between the PS3 and 360, the PS3 would have it 14,000,000 or more lost year. Owners of a PS2 will either not get a console, or wait until the PS3 is attractive in most cases to pick up a new console. It takes more than being slightly better for someone to take the brand name leap and leave all of their favorite games behind. Microsoft needs to sell their console from scratch with games, pricing and features. Sony merely needs to tell people to upgrade. Thats where the difference lies.

What I meant with "Halo, Bioshock, Gears still count" is that this April A LOT of people will want to play GTA4 that haven't upgraded to this gen yet. They have to decide which console to buy. 

The thing is that at the moment of GTA4 release the 360 has way better games available. Halo, Bioshock, Gears (and to a lesser extent Lost Odyssee and Mass Effect) are all 360 exclusives that are available. Sony is saying for over a year now that the great games are coming, but only Uncharted can compete with these 360 exclusives. The question is what will be the decision: Games you can play NOW or games you can play later (and to be honest, besides MGS4 there's still no word on releasedates of the REAL big games GT and FF).

I think a lot of these GTA4-upgraders will choose 360 because of this and the exclusive content.

I really think this PR guy should shut his big mouth, and focusses on getting the games out. PS3 needs FF13 and GT5 NOW, not somewhere without a solid release date.

There is nothing to spin. Blu-Ray is now the HD standard. PS3 weekly sales (worldwide) are beating 360's. SONY has (arguably) the strongest exclusive lineup this coming year (taking only announced games into account).

If by needing ff13 and GT5 now u mean actually selling more units then 360 and almost a 100% leap in sells then last year then you are right.

dont no why people hate on ps3 so much its not going anywere and it will sell more then the 360 this year thats seems like a pretty good fact.
