Forums - Gaming - GameStop's New 3DS Trade-In Promotion is a joke

So Nintendo just posted this:

http://en-americas-support.nintendo.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/13996/p/430

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but does this mean that I can purchase a microSD card now, use an SD card adapter and transfer my data from my old SD card to my computer, then transfer it over to the new microSD card I just purchased? When I buy the New 3DS just put the microSD into it and all my data will be transferred? I'm not sure...

Around the Network

well dont you guys know freaking ebay? fuck gamestop...

I found a solution!!! I called Nintendo and they said they can do a remote system transfer from one 3DS to another. All you need is the serial number of the old 3DS and your Nintendo Network ID info. Also, you'll need to have transferred your data from your SD card to a new SD card. Once you've done that and gotten your New 3DS, put in the new SD card and call Nintendo. Give them the serial numbers and all the other info, then they will initiate a remote system transfer. You will then be allowed to re-download all your games from the eShop and your save data will be recovered via your SD card. Kind of complicated but still, I'm happy there is a solution!
