Platinum has all the freedom they need....which is Microsofts wallet. This is probably going to have the largest budget they've ever seen. They pitched the idea to Microsoft from the very beginning. Much like Insomniac the idea was pitched to Microsoft and Microsoft decided to invest in it. They don't own them so they wont stifle their creativity. Microsoft only does that to companies they keep on sequel duty and Insomniac doesn't play well with those who try to mess with their creative vision.

Just take a look at Rare.

LOL Thats my point, they own Rare. They don't own Insomniac or Platinum so they are willing to pay them for games and allow them to be free. Bungie left Microsoft because Microsoft killed their freedom, so I know where you're getting at, but they only do it to companies they own. Look at Remedy. Every game they've put on the Xbox has not been held back in quality and Microsoft seems to work better with companies they dont own.
