Even in traditional modes like the ones you mentioned it'll still play completely different as controlling territory is a core mechanic what with it being key to mobility and reloading.

Nah they don't consider the Wii U competition at this point lolz.

There'll no doubt be a price next year, but even as it is it's still cheaper, comes bundled with two games, and has a more unique library. I mean me and some of me buds are already going PS4 + Wii U or XB1 + Wii U, so I'm sure it wouldn't be too hard to encourage others to do likewise.

What?

The ps3 and 360 have free online and way more and better online games than the Wii U. Also with next gen you get2 free games a month for your 5$ a month subscription plus 2 more on the ps3 if you have it. That's better than free online and no free games.  

The problem with this is that these 'free' games are worthless unless you continue to cough up for your subscription. And part of the reason that the Xbox One is selling poorly is that people aren't prepared to pay for two subscriptions every year and that the 'free' games available for the Xbox One have always been poorer in quality than the 'free' games available for the PS4.

The Wii U is the best console to own at the moment due to the size and diversity of its library and the high quality and number of exclusive titles. What it lacks in third party multiplatform titles it more than makes up with its exclusive library imo. The Wii U and PS4 or Wii U and PC combination is far more impressive than a PS4 and Xbox One or Xbox One and PC combination tbh.

Yes. They need to start advertising the free online feature. Should have been doing it around the time PS4 and X1 came out. And they should specify in their adverts that the Wii U has free online unlike the PS4 and X1.

Sony did that the entire 7th gen. And people didn't run to PS3 in masses. In the end people either don't care to pay or think that the paid service is better. So they started charging for it now.



Bet with jetforcejiminy: PS4 will pass the Wii lifetime numbers.

The problem is that both mario kart and smash bros have piss poor online modes compared to your normal online game on the other consoles. Seriously, 2 minute smash battles only??? I should be able to jump into various different match types if I want.

I disagree. MK8 and Smash online are lots of fun. 2 minutes is a little short but its not a big deal.

Please tell me the 45 games worth playing online on XBONE and PS4. And classify them by genre please. A lot of games on the other consoles have online multiplayer modes shoe-horned in because the devs are afraid the consumer won't buy their product if it doesn't offer any online. I don't see that as something good. Singleplayer games should focus on their singleplayer campaign, not some gimmicky online mode. Do games like The Last of Us, Uncharted and Sunset overdrive really need online multiplayer? I'd rather see ND put in full co-op for the singleplayer campaign in their games. Why TLOU isn't co-op is beyond me. 

Regardless of all that, I'd rather play Mario Kart 8, Super Smash Bros. Wii U and Splatoon online than any game on PS4 or XBONE atm. Can't wait for Splatoon. :)

The most fun game on XBONE online is Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare (imo).
