I heard that. Is there a reason? Canada wasn't one of my favourite circuits, but it wasn't a bad one, most of times it offered some interesting races (unlike, say, Hungaroring and Nurburgring)
Birny thinks there where not enough events surrounding the race, He wanted the race to be as prestigious as Monacos but we all no Montreal is not Monaco also. There is also sponsorship problems there are restrictives laws against tobaco adds in Canada so that's hurt the money racing teams get when they race here
