Forums - Microsoft - How would a Xbox Handheld perform in Japan?

?

It would sell like a beast! 2 1.87%

It would have normal sales 3 2.80%

It would have mediocre sales 17 15.89%

It would flop, hard! 85 79.44%

Total:107

Well, Xbox One has flopped in Japan, but this suprsied no one

Handheld and Mobile gaming is what is really popular in Japan right now...

So my question is, how would an Xbox One handheld sell in Japan?

Terrible cause I think xbox's problem is a lack of Japanese targeted games as well as it being Microsoft

PC Specs: CPU: 7800X3D || GPU: Strix 4090 || RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 || Main SSD: WD 2TB SN850

Amazing if they have YW, Pokemon and Monster Hunter as exclusives.

Worse than the Vita. Nintendo does so well because they have massive handheld IPs to move units.

Pretty much this but I would like to add on that MS has little understanding of the gaming market in Japan or it's culture.

Xbox anything in Japan probably won't sell. It's unfortunate.

Yes. But the biggest problem for microsoft in japan is:

Amazing Games like Persona 5, Yakuza Zero, Dragon Quest Heroes, One Piece PW3, God Eater 2, Disgaea 5 and other JRPGS and genres are coming only for PS4 in the future (next "tales of-game" too), not for xbox. Thats why, MS have no chance in japan.

Sad

extremely well

they just need to get Pokémon, Monster Hunter, Yokai Watch, Mario, Dragon Quest and a few more exclusively for it

in other words, buying Nintendo is a good first step

Better than the XB1, but that's not saying much. It would do worse than the PS Vita, ultimately. Microsoft just doesn't appeal to Japanese gamers, for the most part.
