Parts of Tomb Raider just don't feel right to me. I get that it's an action game, but this lady gets seriously punished during the game. It's borderline sadistic fetish, and it's so predictable at times, you're like "oh look a ladder...bet it's going to break" - or "hey there's something falling from the sky, bet it's going to fall on me"
It's like those scenes at the end of some videogames where everything is crumbling and you have to escape. Except in TR, it's the whole game. And of course, even if you do make it past the event, LC smacks into a wall at 20 miles per hour, or lands on a spike, or is otherwise brutally injured in a way that would be fatal to most people.

There were instances like these in Uncharted as well, but mostly they were man-made pitfalls, not the whims of happenstance.

ahahahaa That is actually one of the funnes things i have ever read on the intawebs. Good stuff.

On-topic: Uncharted for me. I had a few glitches in tomb raider that spoilt the game for me. I can see why people like it though

Nobody's perfect. I aint nobody!!!

Killzone 2. its not a fps. it a FIRST PERSON WAR SIMULATOR!!!! ..The true PLAYSTATION 3 launch date and market dominations is SEP 1st

I've played both and I enjoyed Uncharted much more.

Better graphics, story, animations, combat (OH lord the combat in TR is awful), etc.

What I liked about TR was the fact that you could upgrade your weapons. That was cool.

The combat was horrible!?

I guess we all have opinions but....wow.  Can I ask what you would change about it?

Umm all I remember you being able to do was attack people with your little pickaxe thing lol.

No weight to the punches, it didn't feel like you were actually hurting someone. You were just mashing the same button and getting the same result/animation every time. For the record I meant hand to hand combat, maybe I should have been more specific. But yeah, hand to hand combat I don't see how you can even defend TR lol. Very simplistic and I hope they improve upon it in the sequel.

That makes more sense! But to me hand-to-hand combat sucks in both series. Thankfully, Tomb Raider doesn't shove it down your throat like UC3 did (It's one of the reason I prefer UC2 to UC3 actually).

Yeah but I like Uncharted 3's combat because of the variety. If you're next to an object you'll see Drake use it and it just feels more immersive to me. The combat in TLOU is much better than Uncharted and it seems to me they took some of that combat from TLOU and are using it for Uncharted 4 which is awesome.

I got tomb raider free with ps plus. I enjoyed it but it felt like a never ending nightmare. at least in uncharted there are plenty of positive moments but tomb raider was over gritty. Overall though it's a good game because of the fact it's an uncharted rip off. Will the next one copy the uncharted formula again or go back to its rootes? A mix between the two would be the best option imo

I got TR for $12 on steam a while ago and honestly that's exactly how it felt to me: A game you buy cheaper, enjoy, and forget. Nothing in that game was crazy memorable like the Cruise-ship area or City of the Sands in UC3.

Solid 8.5/10, but no where near a 10/10.

P.S. Oh and btw a 10/10 isn't just 10% better than a 9/10. It takes A LOT more to get that 10/10.

Prediction for console Lifetime sales:

Wii:100-120 million, PS3:80-110 million, 360:70-100 million

[Prediction Made 11/5/2009]

3DS: 65m, PSV: 22m, Wii U: 18-22m, PS4: 80-120m, X1: 35-55m

I gauruntee the PS5 comes out after only 5-6 years after the launch of the PS4.

[Prediction Made 6/18/2014]

There was more to it if you spend experience.  It would go from throwing dirt to blind someone to hitting them with a rock to hitting them with theaxe to stabbing them with an arrow.  It was still always a one button move with canned animations, tho.  I thoght they were cool but I can see your pov.

Uncharted had better Graphics, Voice acting, gameplay, a better story and by far a better Multiplayer. Imo
